How to remove mustard stains

Mustard may add a spot of colour to your barbecued meat, but the pigments in the yellow turmeric dye may give your clothes some unwanted colour. When faced with mustard stains, this dye can set into the fibres of the fabric, especially if your first instinct is to rub the stain, which makes it difficult to remove. Instead, you’ll want to use a washing detergent containing bleaching agents, such as those in Ariel, that work to remove these dye particulates in mustard stains. Try these Ariel stain solutions to help you get rid of mustard stains.

    Pre-treat

Spread the washing detergent over the mustard stain with the pre-treat cap. The flexible fins of the cap can help spread the liquid detergent over the surface of the mustard stain as well as into the garment’s fibres.

Without washing off the washing detergent, place the garment into the washing machine along with other items. Leaving the liquid detergent on the mustard stain will boost your wash performance.

Wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature indicated. Always check the instructions on the garment’s fabric care label.
